Position Description

The Sr. Coordinator, Media Licensing will assist in the planning and execution of U.S. Soccer's content distribution strategy across all external media and digital platforms, support new business relationships, and contribute to management of our licensing and content distribution processes. This individual will play a key role in U.S. Soccer's footage and photo licensing business, as well as identify and pursue new opportunities to distribute U.S. Soccer content across new platforms. The coordinator will also help facilitate new third-party content creation opportunities to expand the reach of the U.S. Soccer brand via premium storytelling opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and execution of the content distribution and footage licensing strategy, along with other key stakeholders and departments cross-functionally.
  • Support relationship with footage licensing partner, ensuring adherence to U.S. Soccer footage licensing guidelines, guidance or rate cards, request approvals, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Balance internal stakeholders and processes, coordinating internal feedback and approvals.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Content teams to align on yearly content plans and content distribution strategy.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to increase revenue via content distribution.
  • Help expand the reach of the U.S. Soccer brand via premium content and story-telling opportunities.
  • Work with Product and Content teams on processes and efficiencies to deliver relevant content to partners.
  • Collaborate with Legal team as needed on new business relationships and deal structuring.
  • Create recaps for ongoing partnerships and revenue reporting for all content distribution and licensing.
  • Stay up-to-date on media trends and emerging platforms to contribute to new business strategies as part of playing an active role in department strategic planning.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in media, content, or licensing for a sports or media organization
  • Experience with digital media production and technologies (such as video editing software, asset management and metadata, digital delivery standards, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize workflow
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Must be able to connect "micro" details to the "macro" vision and mission
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time to select matches and other events as needed
