Here's an opportunity to work with some of the finest designers in the toy industry, all supporting Mattel Entertainment brands. The Opportunity: Mattel is currently seeking an Action Figures Design / Plush Toys Undergraduate Intern in El Segundo, CA. Our internship program is driven by a single focus: to find our future leaders. We encourage interns to push boundaries because we want to see how far you might take us some day. We give you phenomenal managers, mentors and buddies to help you accomplish more than you would have thought possible. And we team you up with other interns because every great thing that comes out of Mattel is done as a team. What Your Impact Will Be: Work beside experienced designers, engineers and marketing personnel to learn and understand the process of designing toys. Conceptualize ideas through sketches, renderings and models. Display good drawing ability and basic knowledge of materials and processes Be able to collaborate or develop ideas independently You will work on action figures, collectibles, playsets, vehicles, and feature plush #MattelInterns What We're Looking For: Rising senior, graduating in 2026, majoring in Fine Arts, Industrial, or related Strong creative thinking skills, and good at brainstorming Good communication and interpersonal skills Proactive attitude, good work ethic with an interest in toy design Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator Enjoys collaborating and working with others What we look for in portfolios: Highlight your strengths and what comes natural to you Sketches and finished renderings Idea development process a plus Animation, visual development, and/or character design is a plus Hourly:
The base hourly rate for this position is $24.00
