Through our specialty pharmacy program, our team works with our patients' insurance companies, delivering medications directly to their homes, and check in with patients regularly for ongoing monitoring and support. The Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist is responsible for supporting the Scripps medication prior authorization (PA) program within the scope of pharmacy technician licensure. To be successful, the Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist will be comfortable working in an office setting at a desk and thrives working independently interviewing patient charts and filling out prior authorization forms. Qualifications
Experience/Specialized Skills: High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Certification/Registration: Current Pharmacy Technician License. Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire. Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience.
Preferred: 2 years of relevant medication prior authorization experience preferred At least 1 year of experience with Epic Experience with CoverMyMeds
