Technical Professionals Group is hiring: Infotainment Radio Tester in Dearborn

Technical Professionals Group (TPG) is searching for professional Infotainment Radio testers to perform designed test Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto functionalities while actively assisting in vehicle operation. Additionally, will make observations of vehicle performance, ride, quality, and component failures. Records observations in logs or electronic data systems as requested. Works under the general direction of the Project Manager and/or receive direction from the TPG Account Manager (where applicable).

Essential Job Duties

• Conduct script testing for Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto while actively driving the vehicle.
• Navigate radio settings and software interfaces to execute tests accurately.
• Provide precise descriptions of encountered issues and events during testing.
• Collaborate with engineers to report and assist in resolving identified issues.

Interpersonal

• Possession of a smartphone compatible with vehicle connectivity.
• Proficiency in USB and USB-C connections.
• Strong ability to articulate issues and events accurately.
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years

Education & Certifications

• High School diploma or GED

Safety

• Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug free. Alcohol consumption not permitted 8 hours prior to beginning of start of shift.
• Able to safely drive in heavy traffic and adverse weather conditions (when required)
• May support training of others on performance and safe driving skills.
• Document near misses, make suggestions for reduction of risk exposure and communicate all damage to vehicle including scrapes, dings etc. Participate in and support corrective action plans as requested.

Physical and Environmental Job Requirements

• Sitting, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, carrying, and lifting items of up to 25 lbs. or more
• Prolonged routine sitting for 2 or more hours, and evening riding/driving may be necessary
• Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions; cold, snowy, rainy and/or hot weather
• Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels
• Able to sit in a moving vehicle for 8 plus hours (when required)
