    The Role:

    We are looking for a creative professional with project management experience in the pharmaceutical industry to help us respond to client challenges with production of the highest quality programs and deliverables. TheArt Director/Project Manager has overall accountability for developing and maintaining working relationships with clients, internal teams, and contractors, as well asmanaging projects from proposal to delivery and executing artwork for their respective brands and clients. The Art Director/Project Manager will also have an interest in meeting management, as meeting planning/oversight will be a responsibility of this role. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for organization, problem solving, and critical thinking; experience guiding jobs through internal and external workflows; and confidence in conveying ideas and directives to coordinate/execute/delegate tasks and ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with editorial staff/design department/leadership to develop copy/creative concepts
    • Think creatively and provide solutions in conceiving, developing, and producing tactics
    • Create infographic/artwork sketches for designers to execute
    • Take complex information and communicate it in a simple, yet impactful way
    • Understand client/brand standards and guidelines
    • Provide detailed direction to designers
    • Evaluate designs and layouts for consistency, comprehension, and effective execution
    • Present final layouts to clients for approval
    • Review/approve artwork for distribution to project owner, regulatory submissions, disk release to printer, and approval for print production
    • Prepare story boards, scripts, and implementation guides
    • Perform miscellaneous admin and general tasks, as directed by the Executive Creative Director
    • Assist with training for current team members and new hires
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met
    • Meeting Management responsibilities (meeting planning and oversight)
    • Ensure comprehension of each projects market
    • Confer with client to determine project scope/schedule (i.e. objectives, budget, background information, design direction
    • Translate project scope and schedule to client statement of work
    • Collaborate with account executives as needed
    • Evaluate project status as needed to ensure project budget and schedule are on track
    • Facilitate and attend meetings and client calls
    • Advise client at each stage of project development
    • Distribute layouts for client review
    • Demonstrate understanding/active listening of client needs
    • Assist in developing decks for capabilities presentations and client follow-up presentations
    • Develop policies and procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives
    • Identify project roles and responsibilities of each team member
    • Identify project services to be provided by external companies
    • Coordinate with clients internal agency when necessary to execute tactics
    • Motivate team members
    • Assign project tasks
    • Assist in the hiring of external staff on a per-project basis
    • Coordinate work assignments for vetted contractors
    • Assist Account & Creative Director with timelines, proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs)

    Experience & Skills:

    • 5+ years of experience in Art Direction and/or Project Management, preferably within pharmaceutical marketing
    • 1+ year of Meeting Management Experience
    • Agency-side experience communicating with brand managers
    • Design skills and attention to detail
    • Thorough understanding of brand guidelines for each project
    • Understanding of FDA requirements for marketing materials (ISI/fair balance/scientific language), as well as the MLR review process and how Creative/Production Agencies run
    • Knowledge of typography, perspective and space relationships, page composition and grid structures
    • Knowledge of print production process, production techniques, and correct disk release procedures
    • Strong client management skills and ability to build lasting relationships
    • Ability to effectively handle and manage multiple assignments at one time
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
    • Writing, technical, and design skills with strong understanding of all of the roles in the process, particularly those most related to the skills of the core team
    • Analytical mindset with strong leadership, management, and problem-solving skills
    • Commitment, determination, confidence, and a sense of ownership
    • Highest level of professionalism with internal and external teams
    • Exceptional organizational, time management, and follow up skills
    • Willingness to learn and apply new skills
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, bothindependently and collaboratively
    • Expertise working in an Apple/Macintosh computer environment
    • Excellent computer proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
    • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
    • Proficiency in Apple software (Numbers, Keynote and Pages)
    • Cinema 4D, Veeva Vault and HTML experience a plus
    • Knowledge of Social Media Marketing a plus
    • Experience in Market Access Marketing and Pull Through, as well as Patient Access & Support a plus
    • Ability to speak about and discuss topics in market access, managed care, anddisease states a plus
