The Opportunity
We currently seek an Interior Design Intern for our Aviation Market Team in Jacksonville, FL.
The
Interior Design Intern
will collaborate with and be mentored by interior designers and architects on our teams based in Jacksonville, FL. The selected candidate will assist in the design documentation of Aviation Market projects.
This intern will work on a wide range of projects that combine innovative design with a strong knowledge of technical standards to exceed client expectations and provide cost-effective solutions. Additionally, the successful applicant will gain experience in all phases of design, construction documentation, construction administration, and industry best practices. This will serve as a great opportunity to obtain hands-on experience and a better understanding of Federal Market design and the interior design industry.
Responsibilities:
Perform tasks requiring knowledge and application of basic interior design principles
Prepare and revise interior design drawings
Collect, prepare, and analyze product data
Develop construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
Review construction shop drawings
Provide support to interior design, architecture, and project management associates
Qualifications:
Current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA-accredited university
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
Interest in working on Aviation Market projects
Strong work ethic aligning with the company’s mission and core values
Preferred Qualifications:
2.5 GPA or above
Experience modeling in Revit
Interest in the Aviation Market interior design industry
Desire to pursue a career in interior design
