DIG Engineers is seeking a Civil Designer, EIT to join our office in Anaheim, CA. The Civil Designer, EIT will provide design and drafting support for various civil site development and land development projects from conceptual phase through construction documents. Tasks will include developing small- and large-scale K-12 educational, higher educational, residential, commercial, industrial, public works, and parks/recreation projects.

Your impact:
•Develop complete sets of plans for site development and residential subdivision projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D including site geometry, utility design, erosion and sediment control, grading drainage plans and details in accordance with client and DIG Engineers design standards.
•Analyze surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and the best approach in developing and completing projects on time and on budget.
•Perform drainage calculations for water, sanitary and storm sewer design, hydraulic systems, detention ponds, etc.
•Independently perform minor designs, complete redlines and plan revisions.
•Independently address comments from regulatory agency reviews.
•Research and review deeds, ordinances, technical reports, municipal, state and federal codes to ensure compliance.
•Collaborate with project managers and design staff to provide status updates, discuss challenges, and address plan revisions.
•Review the work of other drafting personnel to ensure accuracy and conformance to design requirements.
•Collaborate with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs.
•Monitor work for compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards.
•Proactively work with the appropriate authorities having jurisdiction to obtain plan approval and permits.

Here's What You'll Need:
•Certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required.
•Associate's Degree preferred but not required.
•High proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office Suite
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Full range of visual depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors.
•Valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and ability to occasionally travel overnight.
•At least two years of relevant AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D design experience.
•Experience in site development, land development and/or municipal work including utility design is required.
•Ability to understand and strictly adhere to established customer quality requirements without deviation.
•Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
•Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
•Willingness to work longer than usual hours (including the occasional weekend) to meet client deadlines.

The actual offered base salary for California locations will vary depending on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, work location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role will be at or near the top half of the range provided, but the decision will be dependent on the factors of each individual case. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation in the form of discretionary bonuses in addition to base salary and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The salary range for this position is below.

$59,977.00 - $89,966.00
