Primary Purpose
Operating company-produced content is integral to successful reputation management and effective employee communications. This role will provide strategic direction over the operating company’s owned content production and content producers, comprising written/video/photo/animation/graphic formats.
This role will lead a team while closely coordinating with the Marketing team to ensure that any produced content is optimized for the various channels we use, including social media, email, digital advertising, blogs and more.
Primary Duties

Develop and implement a comprehensive cross-platform content strategy that aligns with operating company’s brand and enhances our company’s reputation; collaborate with the owners of those platforms to optimize content creation and distribution.

Responsible for both producing high-quality content and ensuring the production of high-quality content by the team, including video, photography, graphics, written stories, etc. Oversee and manage the daily operations of videographers, photographers, and contract resources. Coordinate shoots, provide art and editorial direction and on-site support when required. Review content to ensure it meets operating company’s editorial standards and strategic priorities and provide constructive feedback and guidance to content producers to continuously improve content quality.

Provide content management support during storm response and other after-hours events, when needed.

Analyze and report out on content performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize future content.
Job Scope
Reports to Director of Communications with accountability for company content production strategy and creation of top-quality deliverables. Supervises team of one report. Requires strategic planning and management of cross-functional relationships. High level of strategic thinking, digital and technical experiences, creativity and writing skills required. Off-hours work required during emergent events. Self-starter with ability to work independently.
Minimum Qualifications
4-year relevant degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Arts, Photography, or related field. 7-10 years of experience in digital communications, communications, or marketing. In lieu of degree, 9-12 years of relevant experience
Proven, excellent communications skills – both written and interpersonal. Demonstrated strategic thinking and project management skills. Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail. Experience in developing content dissemination strategies.
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and digital media tools. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva. Familiarity with development of data-driven insights and analytics reporting.
