Multimedia Specialist
ROLE
We need a Multimedia Specialist for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Office of Corporate Communication (SEA 00D). NAVSEA SEA 00D supports the command mission of designing, building, delivering and sustaining the U.S. Navy’s ships, submarines and systems through its strategic communications efforts. SEA 00D is responsible for providing the strategic guidance, planning and execution support for all enterprise-wide internal and external communication, including marketing requirements and legislative engagement. Your role as a Multimedia Specialist for the SEA 00D will be to create graphic arts work for portrayal primarily in the form of exhibits, printed and Internet publications and visual presentations. RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide graphics and multimedia products to support command communication goals. Work in multiple mediums, including digital signage, websites, social media and other communication products. Work with varied deadlines ranging from within hours of a request to longer-term projects spanning weeks. Edit material into a professional audiovisual product in accordance with industry audiovisual standards
Material should be usable by commercial news outlets when specified.
Maintain a reporting mechanism and digital archive of all products developed. Provide videography support for events, projects, promotional material development, and other projects. Edit videos into professional audiovisual products meeting industry standards. They should be usable across multiple platforms, including digital signage, websites, and social media. The contractor must maintain a reporting mechanism and digital archive for all developed videos as per agreed with the Government lead. Provide photography support for all Command Leadership sponsored events Be available for occasional evening and weekend events, using Contractor Furnished Equipment. Crop, edit, and caption photographs according to DoD guidelines for archival and search/find purposes. Provide quick turnaround of photos for all command events and archive them on Government storage devices. Ensure access to Contractor Furnished Equipment for processing and transmitting photos. Maintain a centralized calendar of upcoming events as directed by the Government lead. Propose the commanding officer's "scrapbook" or archive within 90 days of a new NAVSEA report date. Produce the NAVSEA Scrapbook within 30 days of the NAVSEA Commander's change of command or retirement.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum 4 years’ experience producing military and/or government graphic design products
Short engaging videos, images, posters, infographics, digital signage as demonstrated by portfolio.
Bachelor’s degree in computer graphics, Graphic Design, Animation, Art, or a related field. Must have experience with Adobe Pro and/or Final Cut Pro.

Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of the time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of the time.
