The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is in need of an effective and highly talented Strategic Communications Specialist to support their team in Springfield, VA. You will have the opportunity to take the customer's unique objectives from ideas to reality through effective written communication. Your strong news and feature writing skills will be utilized in internal and external publications including briefings, talking points and key messages, articles, and newsletters, memoranda, etc. Strong data gathering skills will be necessary to obtain information from leaders and subject matter experts to develop products and vehicles. Requirements Active Top Secret / SCI clearance is needed due to the sensitive nature of information that will be communicated and dispersed. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience within related field and 7+ years of related experience Demonstrated experience with electronic publishing and publications production process in order to ensure proficiency in creating and disseminating content and optimize content for consumption, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement with diverse audience. Strong editing skills to maintain the quality, clarity, and professionalism of communication materials. Demonstrated experience meeting deadlines while writing news and feature articles in an AP style is needed to effectively communicate the intelligence community focus areas. Strong interpersonal, information-gathering, and presentation skills needed when collaborating with leaders, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to develop content into a presentable deliverable for the client. In-depth knowledge of the current events and issues facing the Intelligence Community, DoD, and NGA to bring awareness to the internal and external communities.
