Our company

We're a small-but-mighty team of 30 based in Manhattan in the heart of Soho. In 2022, we closed our $20m Series A (featured in TechCrunch) led by Peter Levine at Andreessen Horowitz (who led GitHub's Series A), with participation from folks like Tom Preston-Werner (founder of GitHub), Sam Lambert (Planetscale CEO & ex-GitHub CTO), Sebastian Markbge (creator of React), and many more.

About the role

Graphite's product marketing lead will be responsible for developing our marketing strategy and messaging, executing on that strategy (personally at first, and then with a team), and iterating on it to maximize awareness of and interest in Graphite. This role will work closely with the CEO and the broader GTM team to create a cohesive outward-facing presence for Graphite that drives self-serve and enterprise customer signups.

Rethinking the way fast-moving software engineering teams write and review code every day is no small feat, and we believe that the best solutions are built when most talented, ambitious, and dedicated people with diverse backgrounds come together.

What you'll do
  • Define and build alignment around Graphite's outward-facing messaging and brand voice
  • Plan and execute on a comprehensive marketing strategy for Graphite, across multiple channels:
    • Define the campaign's concept and messaging, build internal alignment
    • Work with design to create associated content & creative (e.g. ad creative, videos, blog posts, landing pages)
    • Implement the campaign across channels (personally + with team/contractors)
    • Measure the campaign's success across each channel and iterate/adjust strategy as needed
  • Scale the marketing organization with strong hires as Graphite grows


What we're looking for
  • Demonstrated success in B2B SaaS marketing, ideally at a company with a similar product-led sales motion and/or that builds a devtool
  • Deep understanding of marketing to engineers - must be technical enough to appreciate and communicate Graphite's product
  • Experience planning and executing on a successful marketing campaign end-to-end, across multiple channels
  • Has seen and understands what a great marketing organization and process looks like
  • Willing and excited to get their hands dirty as an IC (vs. hiring a team immediately)
  • Scrappy and autonomous - solves problems independently and efficiently
  • Organized, quantitative, and iterative - constantly tracks, measures, and improves upon their own processes
  • Ownership mentality - goes above and beyond to help the company succeed
  • Leadership - creates scalable processes that others can follow, builds strong cross-functional relationships, helps to define a strong marketing team culture

Nice to haves
  • Interest in or experience working on developer tools
  • Comfort with creative tools (image and video editing)
  • Formal experience in copywriting
