About the Role:

As an Associate Producer, you'll be at the heart of our high-energy prime-time and overnight newscasts. We're looking for a sharp, creative storyteller who understands the pulse of the news cycle and cultural trends. If you have a knack for writing punchy scripts, crafting engaging content, and working under pressure, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with producers to write voiceovers, manage live shots, handle guest segments, and craft compelling teases.
  • Develop production elements for scripts, including selecting video, sound bites, and creating graphics.
  • Oversee editing, conduct interviews, and write engaging news stories for TV and digital platforms.
  • Stay ahead of the news cycle and make quick editorial decisions to keep content fresh and relevant.

What You'll Bring:
  • 3+ years of experience in national or major market local news.
  • Outstanding writing, producing, and communication skills with a strong editorial voice.
  • Deep understanding of politics, history, geography, and current events with strong news judgment.
  • Ability to write in a conversational, engaging style that makes complex topics clear and impactful.
  • Experience in control room operations and breaking news coverage.
  • A team-player mindset with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-moving newsroom.
  • Flexibility to work prime-time and overnight shifts as news happens.
