Job Title: Mechanical Designer (Contractor)

Duration: 6+ Months, possible extensions

Must be US Citizen

*  SolidWorks experience is required
*  Sheet metal enclosure experience
*  Prototyping experience.
*  Experience with sheet metal enclosure design and fabrication methods.  

Job Description:
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer with hands-on experience to work with our team on a 6+ month contract.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in SolidWorks and be skilled in designing sheet metal enclosures. This role requires a mix of design work and hands-on prototyping, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both CAD work and physical builds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize SolidWorks to create and modify sheet metal enclosure designs.
• Generate detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to refine designs.
• Assist in prototype builds, including hands-on assembly and troubleshooting.
• Ensure designs meet functional, manufacturability, and quality requirements.
• Qualifications:
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for sheet metal design.

Experience with sheet metal enclosure design and fabrication methods.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping and mechanical assembly.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
