LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing beauty retailer, headquartered in NYC, to hire a contract Video Editor to help with video and media initiatives.
Our client is a brand made up of creators, stylists, and chemists who are obsessed with creating the best products to achieve healthy hair. As a contract Video Editor, you will play a key role in crafting visually compelling video content that brings the brand's products to life. Collaborating closely with the art director and the broader creative team, you will produce high-quality, engaging video assets that showcase our client's unique identity, captivate target consumers, and enhance the overall brand experience.
This role requires strong video editing with motion graphics skills, along with a keen eye for detail and storytelling. Please note this is a hybrid and contract opportunity.
Video Editor Responsibilities:
- Translate storyboards into dynamic video content by accurately executing visual sequences, timing, and motion to align with the creative direction
- Edit tutorials, behind-the-scenes footage, and product-focused content for social media, digital campaigns, e-commerce, and brand storytelling assets
- Work closely with the Associate Art Director, Video and Animation, to ensure all video content aligns with the brand identity and creative vision
- Collaborate with the Creative, Social, and Marketing teams to execute video content that supports brand initiatives and product launches
- Enhance video content by integrating transitions, text animations, and visual effects in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, while also incorporating music, voiceovers, and sound effects to create a cohesive and engaging storytelling experience
- Adapt video edits to different formats and aspect ratios for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms, while maintaining creative integrity and quality
- Maintain attention to detail in color correction, sound design, and overall video quality to ensure a polished final product
- Maintain a structured file system for raw footage, edited projects, and final deliverables to keep video assets organized and easily accessible
- Stay up to date with beauty industry trends and evolving video styles to push creative boundaries
Video Editor Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably within the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industry
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus)
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and brand-driven content creation
- Experience with social-first content-TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts-and knowledge of trends and best practices for each platform
- Strong sense of typography, motion design, and color correction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while maintaining attention to detail
