POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Performance Marketing will lead our paid digital acquisition efforts and drive revenue growth for our D2C business (Thorne.com). This position will require a highly analytical and strategic marketing leader with deep expertise in Paid Social and Paid Search, managing 8-figure annual budgets, and optimizing channel performance through data-driven decision-making. Reporting to the VP of Growth, this individual will oversee a lean but powerful team of two-and will be responsible for managing the performance marketing budget, optimizing channel mix, and driving exceptional performance through rigorous attribution analysis. This role will require a technical and analytical thinker, adept at leveraging multiple data streams and attribution tools to refine acquisition strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES -

Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.

Own and execute the performance marketing strategy across Paid Social, Paid Search, and other key direct-response acquisition channels, ensuring maximum efficiency and ROI. Oversee digital paid budget allocation and forecasting, ensuring efficient investment across channels to hit revenue and acquisition targets (Gross/Net Revenue, LTV/CAC, New Customer %, AOV, UPT, etc.). Manage and mentor an in-house team of channel leads and agency resources, driving high performance and professional growth. Continuously optimize channel mix and marketing spend, leveraging data to make informed decisions. Implement and refine attribution models, leveraging GA4, platform data, MTA, MMM, and post-purchase-surveys to assess marketing effectiveness. Develop and execute rigorous testing roadmaps (creative, audience, bidding strategies) to drive incremental performance improvements. Stay ahead of industry trends, platform changes, and competitive landscape, ensuring Thorne remains at the forefront of performance marketing. Own the creative testing strategy for performance marketing, testing into styles, hooks, narratives, and other variables to enhance ad effectiveness. Manage the event tracking architecture across all performance marketing channels, partnering closely with the Engineering team to ensure data correctness, optimize integrations, and build new integrations. Build personalization experiences, understanding the target audience, while building and serving them custom landing pages that nurture them down their specific journey. Grow new performance marketing channels from the MVP stage to scaled programs (e.g. Affiliate). Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Data, Engineering, Brand, and Product teams to enhance marketing performance and drive growth. What you Need:

EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES / PROFICIENCIES - Satisfactorily achieving and/or meeting the following Experience, Competencies, and Proficiencies are essential duties of the job: • Experience and/or Education: Bachelor's Degree required. • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, with a strong emphasis on Paid Acquisition. • Direct experience driving growth in D2C/ecommerce businesses. • A minimum of 2+ years of experience managing teams, with a proven track record of developing talent. • Hands-on experience managing large-scale 8-figure annual budgets across multiple channels. • Strong technical analytical skills with expertise in GA4, GTM, platform data analysis, and MTA solutions for data-driven decision-making. • Deep knowledge of channel-level optimizations, audience segmentation, creative testing, and bid strategy. • Strong ability to develop and execute budget forecasts and optimization strategies.
