Job Description Summary
Organization Summary:
The University of Maryland is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graphic Designer. The position will work as a member of the Intercollegiate Athletics external operations staff under the direct supervision of the Senior Graphic Designer. This role will manage a high volume of graphic design work with a primary focus on supporting the creative needs of the entire athletic department, particularly within our external areas, including development, marketing, ticketing, media relations, broadcasting & production and sponsorship. In tandem with the Senior Graphic Designer, this position will also collaborate with other external staff members to design creative assets and content for our digital platforms, including social media, email, website and mobile; and coordinate design concept art for brand campaigns. The Graphic Designer will collaborate with external teams to assist with the direction of photo shoots, assist with special projects, coordinate high level presentation materials in support of revenue generation initiatives and organizational.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three (3) years of professional graphic design experience.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
Knowledge of graphic design.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
