Description

The A/V support specialist is responsible for overseeing installations, operation, and maintenance of audio/visual equipment and applications including video cameras, document cameras, projectors, video walls, video controller, codecs and other A/V technologies in various locations across campus. In addition, will assist faculty and staff with operations of videoconferencing and distance learning technologies, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and replacement of parts/equipment as directed. This position reports directly to the Director of Technology Support in the Information Technology Department.
Examples of Duties
Provide technical assistance and support related to the endpoints, A/V technologies, software, and other technology that is maintained by IT Services.

Performs routine technical assistance and maintenance for optimal performance and security

Ability to setup, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot audio visual equipment. Equipment to include digital sound systems, microphones, projectors, various commercial and consumer displays, interactive boards, video conferencing, and digital signage.

Demonstrated experience with desktops, laptops, printers, document cameras, projectors, & smart technologies.

Specifically supports the President's Cabinet and NCF Board of Trustees with remote videoconferencing technologies for regularly scheduled meetings as well as other high-profile university events.

Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in IT.
