Job Description
Paramount FMS is a single source provider of Office Furniture, Commercial Move Services, Warehousing, Liquidation, Project Management, Installation Services and Furniture Asset Management. A licensed dealer of over 100 different product lines from workstations, desking and seating to conference, collaboration, lounge and filing.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join our commercial furniture team in Branchburg, New Jersey. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial furniture with experience in all phases of projects, including planning, design, organizing, and managing project teams and resourcing. This role involves managing key client relationships with dealers, architects, and designers, driving operational excellence, and working cross-functionally with sales and operations teams.
Requirements/Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in commercial interior design or architecture
- Bachelor or higher degree in interior design or architecture preferred
- Previous people leadership skills required
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Proficient in CET
- Keen eye for modern design
- Detail-oriented with strong project management skills
- Highly organized, ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Great communication skills and ability to create long lasting relationships
- Work with salesperson and/or client to determine purpose and function of environment, budget, scope of project, time schedules, types of furniture and equipment to be installed, and other factors which affect planning interior environments.
- Advise salesperson and/or client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, color schemes, color coordination, and codes according to local governing jurisdictions.
- Provide schematic design and design development drawings.
- Coordinate design intent with architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans.
