We are seeking a Senior UX Designer based in Mettawa, Illinois (Hybrid or Remote). If you're passionate about creating consumer-centric digital products, this role might be a perfect fit for you !
As a Senior UX Designer, you'll be instrumental in designing interactive experiences for on- and off-boat users. Your role involves crafting information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual design comps. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, UX Researchers, and Developers, you'll bring these concepts to life in the final product.

PAY RATE: $38.00/hr W2
GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE
OVERVIEW :
Senior UX Designer
UX Designers at are responsible for the design of consumer centric interactive digital products to support on- and off-boat user experiences. UX Designers approach all projects with curiosity and empathy; applying their deep understanding of user needs to the design of new experiences (represented via information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and visual design comps) and collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Researchers and Developers to bring these concepts to life in the final product.

Responsibilities
Help drive guidelines, best practices and methodologies across the entire cross-functional team
Partner with product, brand, marketing and creative teams to adhere to each brand's creative vision
Grow our Figma based design system and component libraries with focus on re-usable components across the organization
Be an advocate for human centered design thinking principles and promote the value of user research techniques and analysis.
Align user needs and desires with business goals and objective
Create various fidelities of interactive prototypes for rapid and iterative testing coupled with deeper qualitative studies
Create inspiring, visual, story-based research summaries that communicate key findings to team members and stakeholders, leveraging audio and video as narrative devices
Provide short-and longer-term actionable outcomes following usability testing
Collaborate with UX researchers to derive new concepts from key insights
Qualifications
5+ years' experience applying human-centered design and design thinking methodologies throughout digital product development
Domain specific expertise and perspective for user experience design solutions
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Proven track record of solving complex problems with simple solutions
Strong portfolio with data driven insights
Ability to defend ideas and concepts from gathering rich consumer insights
Confident presentation and storytelling abilities
Proficiency with a range of prototyping and experience design tools
Experience in growing design systems and libraries
Familiarity with design thinking methodologies
Undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field such as, Human Centered Design, Design Research, UX Design, Product Design or equivalent work experience
Familiarity with remote moderated and un-moderated user testing techniques
Bonus Qualifications
Experience in mobile App UX research; and related research tools / platforms
Experience in the Marine, RV or Automotive Industry
Proficient in either Figma, XD or Sketch
