We are seeking a driven Senior Motion Graphics Designer to take the lead on a variety of projects.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive studio-level experience and thrive in a collaborative environment. You will lead in the creation of frames for pitches, storyboards for animations and design and technical toolkits for motion graphics elements for our projects, often working on complex multi-shot films. Your strong design skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities will be vital for success in this position.

This role is in-person at our Wheat Ridge studio near Denver. We value collaboration and our company culture encourages creative interactions, mentorship of junior artists, and building strong team relationships. We believe working together in person is the best way to achieve our best work. We have a flexible WFH policy that allows you to work remotely as needed, but we do not have a hybrid schedule and expect remote work to be the exception not the rule.

As a Senior Motion Graphics Designer, your responsibilities will include guiding the motion design process from initial concept through to final execution, ensuring a cohesive visual style across multiple projects. A great sense of humor and a positive approach to challenges will be essential.

We are seeking a candidate with sophisticated design and storytelling sensibilities with the ability to create dynamic and impactful animations. This role will require a blend of advanced 2D and 3D skills using After Effects, Cinema 4D + Redshift. Experience with Unreal Engine a welcome plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead motion graphics projects from storyboarding and style frames to final delivery that tell the right story and satisfy the creative brief.
  • Work collaboratively with art directors and creative directors on large-scale multi-faceted projects.
  • Manage deadlines effectively while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • A mentorship mindset, ready to support junior staff in their development.

Software and Equipment:

  • Mac or PC Workstation.
  • Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere).
  • Cinema 4D and Redshift.
  • Ftrack for project management.
  • Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Docs).

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $105,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance, simple IRA retirement matching, paid holidays and paid time off.

This job description outlines the primary duties and responsibilities of the role but is not exhaustive and may be subject to change based on organizational needs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant motion design experience.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in animation and design.
  • Experience in a collaborative creative environment, taking direction from clients and directors.
