MARKETING DIRECTOR
The Wilder Companies is a Boston-based national retail real estate development, management and leasing firm specializing in the positioning of retail properties. The company has developed, managed and leased over 20 million square feet of retail property throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Our experience includes community centers, specialty centers, regional and super-regional malls, and urban properties.
We have an immediate opening for an on-site Marketing Director to join the team at Arsenal Yards, a joint-venture project with Boylston Properties. Arsenal Yards is a dynamic mixed-use development of retail, dining, entertainment, life science space, residential apartments, and a hotel. Phase One opening is planned for the third quarter 2019.
This position executes day-to-day marketing operations, offers great growth opportunity in a dynamic company, and will contribute to the exciting redevelopment project: transforming the center into a vibrant, destination, lifestyle location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Become an integral part of the Arsenal Yards Marketing team to develop and execute a strategic, multi-phased marketing program including:
Event Coordination:
Collaborate with AY Marketing team to create and manage an inspired event calendar supporting the annual marketing plan
Planning & logistics: organize, coordinate, and implement all events in conjunction with the AY Marketing team and partners; assist in developing and initiate community initiatives.
Manage and track event budgets; research & secure event resources
Advertising/Social Media/Public Relations:
Assist/collaborate with AY Marketing team and agency of record to develop, execute, and track multi-media advertising buys
On-site point person for social media platforms; help generate content & photos, manage contests, etc.
Develop rapport with all retailers to understand promotional wants & needs, develop recommendations and communicate back to AY Marketing team
Assist/collaborate with AY Marketing team to develop strategies for increasing social engagements.
Assist/collaborate with AY team and PR Firm to generate appropriate messaging opportunities
Leasing
Collaborate with the Leasing team to develop and execute a robust pop-up retail and temporary tenant program
Communication - Liaison:
Initiate, develop and maintain communications with retailers, community groups, and the Arsenal Yards project team
Coordinate production of marketing collateral
Assist in updating the center's website; maintain retailer contact list; update email database
Administration:
Assist in organizing and running an efficient management office; be a team player at all times
Provide organizational team support including record keeping & documentation
Emergency response team member
REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years marketing experience or equivalent; Commercial Real Estate experience a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication; customer service skills; interact with multiple stakeholders/constituents
Flexible, manage changing needs; multiple task management; organizational skills
Social media experience including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
Digital based media and research conversant
Intermediate to Advanced Word, Excel & Power Point skills
Bachelor's or equivalent degree preferred.
