ROLE SUMMARY
The Audio Engineering Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and testing signal processing algorithms for use in studios. This role will build, refresh, troubleshoot and repair audio systems for CorePower Yoga. This role will have a junior level resource that reports to them. The Audio Engineer Manager will report to the Director of IT.
Audio Engineering Management
- Design and develop signal processing algorithms for audio, video, speech, and wireless communication applications.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate DSP software into overall system architecture.
- Design and implement audio and networking builds for new studio openings.
- Coordinate resolution of extenuating issues such as recurring noise complaints or exceptionally slow/problematic internet connections with the IT helpdesk team and third-party vendors.
- Configure and calibrate audio settings to ensure optimal sound quality.
- Troubleshoot and repair audio equipment as needed.
IT Support
- Support Head of IT as needed on any overarching projects related to the team, overall IT priorities and initiatives.
- Refresh problematic locations with new audio standards.
- Serve as the primary escalation point when a studio is experiencing recurring issues.
- Manage and maintain documentation of policies, procedures, and processes.
- Assess studio locations to determine the best audio installation solutions.
- Ability to create technical diagrams and manuals.
- Perform regular maintenance on installed audio systems.
- Stay updated on the latest audio technology and trends.
- Provide training to studios on how to use new systems.
- Work with other departments to ensure that goals and timelines are met for openings.
- Manage inventory for critical items for department break/fix items.
People Management
- Set goals and objectives, providing guidance and support, and ensuring team members have the resources they need.
- Ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve team and organizational goals.
- Manage and lead multiple projects ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
- Mentor and grow team members by providing regular feedback, coaching, and career development opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align on project deliverables.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Five years of experience in a systems administration role with project management experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with audio or video signal processing.
- Strong understanding of acoustics and sound systems.
- Proficiency with a variety of audio equipment and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- Willingness to travel for onsite installations.
- Technical training or vocational courses in audio installation.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy audio equipment.
- Attention to detail and a strong emphasis on quality.
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Proven track record of managing complex IT projects from initiation to completion.
- Experience in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and change management.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
COMPENSATION
- Bonus Potential: up to 15% of annualized salary.
