Job Overview
Midtown Athletic Club is seeking a passionate and experienced Graphic Designer to elevate our visual brand identity. You'll play a key role in crafting compelling communications for members and prospects across all channels – from print to digital, and even within our club spaces.
The team is based in our HQ office in Chicago (3611 N Kedzie Ave.) and supports all club locations.
- The role is hybrid work-from-home and required to also come in the office in Chicago 2 days per week.
- The position is based in the Chicago area and will involve very limited travel to Midtown club locations.
About the Role
- Collaborate across teams to bring our brand storytelling to life for members and prospects and incorporate relevant branding, marketing, and communication strategies throughout designs.
What You’ll Do
- Lead visual design strategy by interpreting and executing Midtown’s brand strategy across campaigns, our member app, website, apparel, and club spaces.
- Develop creative concepts based on interpreting briefs.
- Confidently present and communicate design concepts to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with the full marketing team for cohesive and effective deliverables.
- Time-manage multiple projects and prioritize based on impact.
- Consistently deliver creative solutions to visual challenges.
- Research and understand industry trends and target audiences.
- Manage freelance designers and external vendors to support with creative implementations.
What You’ll Need
- 2+ years of design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills.
- Excellent research, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Keen interest and attention to user experience and information hierarchy.
- Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, attention to detail and multitasking ability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for design and an interest in luxury fitness branding.
- Strong ability to interpret and implement feedback.
- Eagerness to develop new skills.
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Solid understanding of design principles.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Significant experience with UX or UI design.
- Proficiency in Figma and Figjam.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in design.
- Certification and/or training in relevant software programs.
Pay Disclosure
Compensation: $60-70K annually, based on experience and qualifications.
