Do you love music and are excited about building the future of music experiences? Are you driven by directly impacting the look and feel of customer-facing applications? If so, the Amazon Music Product Design team is looking for a talented, passionate Front-End Engineer with a track record of delivery, ownership, and attention to detail. You will help champion how the Amazon Music design team delivers experiences that are distributed around the world.

Key job responsibilities

This Front-End Engineer will support the Design Systems & Engineering team focused on user-interface development, prototyping, and tooling to deliver high-quality user-interfaces and user-experiences for the Amazon Music app. The role requires being adept at application architecture, reusable component frameworks, and maintaining mechanisms to deliver high-quality code. Your key job responsibilities will include:

  1. Working on our React Native library of reusable foundations, components, and patterns.
  2. Working on an extensible motion framework to support our quality bar.
  3. Working on high-fidelity prototypes to support our next-generation experiences.
  4. Writing high-quality, clean, efficient, and well-documented code to create reusable and modular components.
  5. Documenting front-end engineering best practices for other cross-functional team members.
  6. Participating in code reviews and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  7. Providing thorough unit and integration testing, and supporting products while deployed.
  8. Balancing constraints while focusing on future extensions.
  9. Driving consensus between design, engineering, and product owners.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience building performant cross-platform Mobile Applications using React Native and GraphQL.

- Working knowledge of iOS, Android, MacOS, Windows, Linux, and Web platforms.
