Salary Range: 51,000 - 76,500
Position Summary:
Atlanta Housing seeks a talented visual artist to work as a photographer. The photographer will work among a team of communications, marketing, digital and social media professionals to deliver imagery that captures AH achievements and milestones. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a deep understanding of photography principles. The Photographer will be responsible for capturing, editing, and distributing images that accurately represent Atlanta Housing and its mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality images of Atlanta Housing properties, events and achievements.
- Utilize professional photography techniques and equipment to produce visually appealing and informative photographs.
- Edit images using Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) to enhance quality, color, and composition.
- Organize and archive digital images.
- Upload approved images to the internal digital platforms.
- Write accurate and compelling captions for images.
- Apply appropriate metadata to images to facilitate search and retrieval.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a photographer.
- Strong technical skills in photography and image editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).
- Ability to showcase a portfolio of high-quality photography work.
- Bachelor's Degree or 5 years relevant experience. Completion of a formal photography program or certification.
- Proficiency in specialized photography techniques, such as studio lighting, aerial photography, or videography.
Working Conditions: Works in an office environment. May require frequent bending, stooping, reaching and prolonged sitting and/or standing. May require regular lifting usually not exceeding 20 lbs. Some travel may be required.
