Job Title: Associate, User Experience Designer

Job Duties:
Collaborate with product owners, partners, and engineering to understand business requests, desired outcomes, and create innovative product visions. Conduct research to understand and define user problems and define desired product features and capabilities. Function as a bridge between disciplines, such as design, product, engineering, and business. Work with engineers and product managers to deliver detailed and polished products. Promote interface guidelines and design patterns. Contribute to the UX/design community of practice through the adoption of new technologies and methodology.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, UX Design, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, and 36 months of experience as a User Experience Designer, Web Designer, Visual Art Designer, or a related role. Requires three (3) years of experience in each of the following skills:
- Facilitating multiple design workshops for detailed and dynamic functional designs;
- Delivering products by utilizing UX and product design in assessing problem discovery, solution generation, concept creation, data visualization, wireframing, user-testing, synthesis, iteration, prototyping, heuristic evaluation, competitive analysis, and customer journey mapping;
- Presenting designs across the organization to a wide range of clients, stakeholders, peer designers, and partners; contributing to design systems and producing assets for development;
- Implementing fundamental design principles to create user-friendly designs leveraging Typography, Iconography, Color theory, Composition, and Layout;
- Experience in working within remote teams. Strong ability to collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed team members, maintaining high levels of communication and productivity. Familiarity with the intricacies of different time zones, cultures, and remote work dynamics;
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite;
- Capability to design user-centered solutions for complex systems on desktop, addressing diverse user needs and business scenarios.

Salary Range: For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$155,000.00 - USD$170,000.00. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
