Business Technology Integrators (BTI), a Government Contracting Company located in Upper Marlboro, MD, is seeking experienced Web Developers to support the United States Coast Guard National Maritime Center contract in Martinsburg, West VA.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for the Mariner Credentialing Program.
- Retrieve and present merchant Mariner data from the MMLD System based on data requests from various sources. The MMLD system is currently an Oracle database. System queries are written using Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Write system queries on request. The Contractor shall provide requested data within two (2) business days of request unless otherwise specified.
- Create, modify, and manage tools in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Power Platform, and SharePoint as required by the Government to support credentialing activities.
- Train MMLD and Database System users (Contractor and Government) regarding changes to the system, as needed.
- Provide technical writing services to support development and modification of MMS, website, and other documentation as required by the Government. The Contractor shall have knowledge of industry-standard computer software, such as Adobe X Professional (Live Cycle Designer) and Microsoft Office Suite, as well as more sophisticated software such as Microsoft Visio.
- Maintain process documentation (IAW NMC MMS documentation); review, edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers; create new documentation for changed processes; and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, or content to the Government.
- Convert or design fillable PDF forms to technical specifications determined by the Government and recommend changes in format to meet best practices for graphical setup.
- Develop, integrate, and edit instructional text, audio, graphics, and video for interactive presentations for MMS, the NMC website (NMC Website), or other documentation as required by the Government.
- Provide technical writing services to the Exams Branch to review technical questions written by Subject Matter Experts and suggest edits for grammar, spelling, and clarity. Approximately 160 questions per month.
- Design graphics for the development of Mariner exam illustrations, brochures, MMS documentation, and the NMC website.
- Supply website technical development services. The Contractor shall be capable of using industry-standard tools and programming to support the development and maintenance of web pages as required by the Government.
- Conduct frequent website updates, track website traffic and update monthly statistics, create HTML email templates for GovDelivery, perform search engine optimization, website storyboarding and redesign, page design and graphics development, and develop complex interfaces for a variety of Content Management Systems (CMS) including those that use Drupal or WordPress.
Requirements:
- Shall possess two (2) years of experience in writing code by hand and have knowledge of Hypertext Markup Language revision 5 (HTML5), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Bootstrap, and Syntactically Awesome Style Sheets (SASS) systems.
