Purpose of the Team: This team is responsible for working with law enforcement agencies to ingest and disposition the data received and then provide data back to law enforcement. The other side of the team owns systems that are used in investigations of digital threats.
Key Projects: This role is a technical writer who can work closely with engineers or review transcripts of conversations with engineers and convert those to troubleshooting guides or other relevant knowledge base articles.
Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm: The role will consist of 30% collaborating with software engineers and other technical team members, 30% ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date, 30% reviewing and editing existing documentation, and 10% meetings.

Typical Day in the Role:
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience working with software engineers to develop comprehensive troubleshooting guides and other self-service documentation. This role is crucial in aiding new engineers and support personnel in efficiently understanding and addressing technical issues.
Candidate Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: 2-4 years of experience required for the role.
- Degrees or Certifications Required: Bachelor's degree required; a Master's degree in technical communication is preferred.
- Experience with Confluence and Markdown editors, version control systems (GIT), and familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Top 3 Hard Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years experience with Markdown
- Minimum 2 years experience with Excel
- Minimum 2 years experience with Word
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr.
Workplace Type
This is a hybrid position in Redmond, WA.
