Severin Group LLC seeks one full-time Senior Interior Designer to work at its office in Burlingame, CA. Candidate must have at least a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Environmental Design, with 24 months of prior Interior Designer or Interior Architecture experience. Requires domestic travel throughout the U.S. at least 15 times a year, with each trip lasting 2-5 days, to conduct site measurements and 3D scans; assess existing conditions; perform onsite pre-construction walks; carry out regular construction inspections; oversee furniture installations; conduct final walk-throughs to compile and address punch lists, ensuring all design elements are executed correctly; attend OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings and trade shows; and maintain relationships with project owners, general contractors, and material and furniture vendors. International travel required to Asia, 1-3 times a year, to visit material and furniture manufacturers, with each trip lasting approximately 7-14 days. Candidate duties will include: Conduct a job site visit to measure and assess the existing conditions of the site. Conducting thorough assessments to develop efficient and functional space layouts that meet the client's requirements. Creating innovative design concepts that capture the client's vision and goals. Refining the design concept, detailing materials, finishes, and furniture, and ensuring all design elements align with the overall vision. Choosing appropriate furniture, finishes, materials, hardware, accessories, fixtures, and devices to complement the overall design. Preparing comprehensive construction documents that comply with building codes and include detailed plans, specifications, and instructions to guide the construction process. Producing detailed renderings, and space elevations. Preparing and presenting comprehensive design packages to clients for their review and approval. Engaging in regular meetings with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring their vision is accurately reflected in the design. Collaborating with other professionals, including architects, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers, structural engineers, and landscape designers, to integrate all aspects of the design. Evaluating shop drawings provided by millwork, furniture manufacturers, and contractors to ensure alignment with the design intent. Estimating total project costs and working diligently to align the design with the client's budget constraints. Conduct a job site visit to verify that all construction work aligns with the design intent. Candidate must have 24 months of work experience using Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, McNeel Rhinoceros 3D, Chaos V-ray, Chaos Enscape, Trimble SketchUp Pro, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dynamo and Grasshopper, as well as 12 months of work experience using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams and Bluebeam Revu.
