The
Multimedia Graphic Designer
will support the Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation (RDT&E) efforts across the Warfighter Interactions and Readiness Division (RHW) located within the Human Effectiveness Directorat (RH)
Responsibilities
Manage projects independently and as part of a team, as well as the ability to work through problems quickly and independently
Responsible for the conceptualization and development of high-quality multimedia/graphic content for use across various platforms such as websites and print media.
Provide resources with the knowledge and experience to develop various graphic designs such as Overview Graphics (OV-1), logos/patches, posters, pamphlets/flyers, presentations, decals (for simulators and general branding), banners, going away frames, Division coins, awards, and calendars
Produce and maintain building signage, including but not limited to office/cubicle/testbed nameplates, award display boards, command photos, organizational signage, picture frames, and other general signage requests
Prepare and produce research promotional materials such as videos and print for publication and shall be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to multimedia/graphic content across the various platforms/tools
Plan and perform all video production and postproduction tasks such as field production planning, interacting with subject matter experts, operating and managing all video & audio equipment, footage review, editing, graphic/audio adjustments, and ensuring video products are available in a variety of formats
Shall be able to collaborate with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders to include the technical and project leads as well as the public affairs teams to ensure multimedia products meet the project objectives and align to AFRL information release guidelines.
Participate in and support other projects within their skillset as directed by the Government representative
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing priorities effectively to meet deadlines.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in graphic and/or multimedia design, visual communications or related field
Minimum ten (10) years of experience working on multimedia, graphic design, video production, and visual communications projects.
Minimum (5) years of experience supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory.
Possess an active Secret Clearance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft applications i.e. Word, Excel, to include Premier Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign and additional video development/graphics software such as Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Carrara Pro.
Possess previous experience with the Air Force’s mission, organizational structure, and working in government environments
Experience with multimedia projects supporting AFRL’s mission.
Experience with video production experience with conceptualizing, planning, shooting, and editing promotional materials across the lifecycle of the project preferred.
Possess demonstrated project management experience working with stakeholders to communicate and manage multiple competing priorities.
