Job Summary

The Technical Writer/Content Strategist plays a pivotal role in translating complex regulations into clear, comprehensible policies and procedures to ensure adherence across our multi-state senior housing and aging services operations by focusing on user experience. This role involves creating, optimizing, and maintaining forms, managing company intranet content, and working with various departments and subject matter experts to ensure regulatory compliance in policies and procedures. This role will collaborate across all departments of the organization to develop a cohesive set of documented policies, procedures, and forms in an effort to meet regulatory requirements, streamline team member learning and tasks, and improve the quality of care for residents at New Perspective’s communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Regulatory Analysis and Translation

  • Continuously monitor and analyze regulatory changes affecting the industry.
  • Translate complex state and federal regulations into clear and understandable policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with content, training, and departmental teams to ensure accurate translation and compliance with all regulations.
  • Update policies and procedures as necessary to ensure ongoing compliance.

Documentation Creation and Optimization

  • Create and optimize policies and procedures, forms, checklists, and other documentation required for operational and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible to relevant staff.
  • Ensure correct and consistent use of the organization’s style, branding, document templates, service and product naming conventions, and legal and messaging requirements across internal documentation.

Intranet Content Management

  • Manage and implement a robust and consistent metadata framework to organize compliance-related content on the company’s intranet and support an intuitive information architecture for staff.
  • Manage, update, and ensure the accuracy of compliance-related content on the company’s intranet.
  • Take ownership of communication process around content development, informing stakeholders across the organization of updates.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to improve the usability and accessibility of compliance documentation on the intranet.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Initiate, facilitate, and ensure collaboration with various departments and subject matter experts across the company to gather and validate information and support alignment across departments.
  • Assist in developing and updating training materials across multiple departments.

Self-Driven Initiatives

  • Work independently and proactively to identify areas of improvement in compliance documentation and processes.
  • Suggest and implement solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of compliance processes.

Miscellaneous

  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Must Haves

  • Excellent writing and communications skills (sentence structure, grammar, varied vocabulary, spelling, style, strong typing speed with high accuracy, and attention to detail).
  • A proactive attitude and a focus on resolving problems and delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and adhering to style and content guides and document templates.
  • Demonstrated creativity in problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with New Perspective’s mission and operating philosophies.

Nice to Haves

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in communication, language, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience in related field.
  • Experience working in SharePoint Online, ideally as a site administrator.
  • Experience working with project management software.
  • Strong desire for career development and growth.

Salary Range

55K – 70K Depending upon experience
