SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER:
- Collaborate with the Development Team mgr to plan, schedule, & allocate resources for projects
- Maintain & review project Development Schedules; used as both our process guidelines & checklist
- Regularly meet with the team to set deadlines, review dashboards, and clarify next steps
- Proactively manage tasks, ensuring priorities are aligned with Team needs & Team goals, often assisting on other projects as needed
DESIGN & QUALITY CONTROL:
- Ensure, (plan-check), the Team's design work meets the following criteria:
- Feasible: Structurally sound & buildable
- Functional: Aligned with design best-practice
- Accurate & Qualified: Measured, validated, and precise
- Aesthetics: Matches the client's vision, refined, and essential
- Safe & Accessible: Follows Universal Design Standards wherever possible
- Realistic: Stays within the client's budget & comfort zone
- Sustainable: Incorporate environmentally-considered materials & practices

COLLABORATION:
- Partner with the Architect to establish master Templates & standardized Plan Sets for proj. phases
- Champion & maintain the Virtual & Physical Materials Libraries & Best practices for the Design Studio
- Cooperate with junior designers, developers, estimators to complete work product on schedule
- Coordinate w/ Project mgrs. to ensure consistent communication & a seamless client experience
- Apply annually for 1 or more Nari Roty awards for deserving projects

ASSIGNED PROJECT Responsibilities
- Function as the primary contact for assigned projects, maintaining clear communication with clients, internal team members, and vendors/trade partners
- Create clear next steps, maintain momentum, and build enthusiasm (w/ clients & team)
- Lead Discovery meetings to understand client expectations & set project goals per our process
- Manage project milestones, ensuring deadlines are met & quality standards are adhered to
- Facilitate client presentations and ensure decisions are documented & followed through
- Presentations often include assisting Developers with the selling of contract proposals
- Provide site visits during production to ensure quality & maintain client satisfaction
- Full interior design responsibilities for all designers are as follows:
- PHASE I Discovery mtg w/ clients & Team. Create scope, concepts, provide material allowances to estimator, lead internal concept reviews, & present concepts to client.
- PHASE II Lead internal reviews, lead selections mtgs, acquire vendor pricing, participate in any City Building & Zoning discussions, participate in contract proposal presentations
- PHASE III Finalize & qualify details in our Construction set documents & written scope of work, manage Pre-production tasks, i.e. ordering & receiving, complete checklists towards a Handoff mtg to Proj Mgr & Lead Carpenters. Provide help & feedback during Production
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 15+ years, w/ at least 10 yrs focused on single-family residential remodeling
- Education/Certs: Degree in Interior Design and/or certification as a registered Interior Designer
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Chief Architect, Microsoft Office, experience w/ Revit, SketchUp a plus
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of building practices, code, Architectural styles, Design Best-Practice, materials, & trends
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and client mgmt. abilities. Applicants should be driven, proactive, and excited by accountability.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills

- Able to handle multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Work hours: Full-time, Minimum 40+ hours/week (flexible schedule with remote work options)
- Compensation & Benefits: Competitive Base salary or Hourly wage if desired, plus incentive bonuses, health insurance, sick/vacation time, phone, 401k, and more
- Performance Review: Initial performance review after 3 months, with annual reviews & merit-based pay adjustments (and incentives) at the company's discretion.
Daily collaboration w/ team members, & occasional trade partner walkthroughs are a typical occurrence for this position. This position allows flex scheduling to accommodate your life, but in-office hours are required for collaboration, and mtgs. in general.
