Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process variable data print (VDP) files for production using software such as Quadient Inspire, Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry-specific tools.
  • Preflight, troubleshoot, and optimize digital print files to ensure high-quality output and adherence to client specifications.
  • Work with database files, apply data-driven logic, and generate personalized print output using various print composition software.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Data Processing, Digital Print Operators, and Client Services, to ensure seamless workflow execution.
  • Ensure compliance with postal regulations and print standards when processing VDP jobs.
  • Perform color management and image correction to maintain consistency and quality across digital print jobs.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to prepress and printing, including font embedding, file compatibility, and image resolution.
  • Maintain organized file structures and job documentation for accurate production tracking and archiving.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, software updates, and new digital printing technologies.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts, Printing Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in digital printing prepress, including experience with VDP workflows.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and variable data printing software such as Quadient Inspire, XMPie, FusionPro, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Quadient Inspire Designer and Scaler a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of digital printing processes, including inkjet and toner-based production.
  • Experience working with PDF workflows, RIP software, and color management tools.
  • Ability or familiarity with paper linearization, setting up color profiles and paper profiles on press, adjusting color as needed, lining up files on press as needed, and inputting line-up calculations in a cut sheet and/or roll-fed digital inkjet printing environment.
  • Familiarity with production digital inkjet and laser printing processes.
  • Familiarity with postal regulations and mailing requirements for variable data projects.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary Range: $40,000 to $60,000
