Yoto’s Marketing & Creative Team We’re a global team looking after brand and product marketing, acquisition and retention marketing, communications, and creative, with multi-disciplinary marketing teams in key regions – North America, UK, France, and Australia. This role will sit within our North American team, based in Brooklyn. We work closely with teams across the business, particularly our friends in the commercial, product, tech, and content teams. The North American marketing team will be focused on increasing brand awareness and SOV over our competitors in the US and CA markets. This is a dual reporting role into Head of Marketing, NA and Head of Communications based in the UK. What you’ll be doing : Setting the strategic direction for brand-led PR campaigns that align with NA Marketing and broader business goals, ensuring a cohesive and creative approach to earned media. Building and strengthening relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and affiliates, identifying long-term partnership opportunities that drive high-value coverage. Leading proactive storytelling efforts and shaping reactive communication strategies, ensuring we maintain a strong and consistent brand voice. Partnering with our North America leadership team on thought leadership initiatives, identifying opportunities to elevate Yoto’s profile in North America. Collaborating closely with the Head of Communications (based in London) to assess PR and influencer performance, refine strategies, and oversee all broader communications efforts—including messaging, media monitoring, and spokesperson preparation. Developing and mentoring the in-house PR and Influencer team, ensuring they have the tools, guidance, and strategic direction to execute effectively. Overseeing and managing external PR resources, including our Canadian agency and seasonal PR support, ensuring alignment with our overarching strategy. What you’ll bring: 10+ years of experience in PR or communications, with a proven track record of securing national media coverage and managing corporate reputation. Proven track record of developing and delivering highly effective creative brand campaigns. Experience managing and developing high-performance teams. Experience managing influencer campaigns and talent relationships in the US market, including negotiation and campaign execution. Strong media relations skills, ideally with established relationships across parenting, technology, and education media sectors. Crisis communications and issues management experience, with demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing press releases, pitches, and executive communications. Project management expertise with the ability to handle multiple campaigns and stakeholders simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Bonus points for:
Experience working in education technology, children's entertainment, or family-focused brands and previous experience working in a fast-growing scale-up company. Salary:
$90,000 - $100,000 per annum, based on experience. What you can expect from us: Flexibility:
Hybrid working with a choice-based approach - we would love you to come into the Brooklyn office twice a week, if not more.
