As Director - Commercial Graphic Solutions, you will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies to achieve budget and growth commitments in Preprint, Digital Preprint, and Litho Laminated packaging. You will lead and manage a team of Graphic Business Managers (GBMs). GBMs are the main point of contact for Smurfit Westrock’s graphics capabilities and are responsible for managing and supporting the business needs of their internal and external customers. Your role will be critical in helping your team foster connectivity and enable growth. How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
Responsible for budget and growth commitments for flexo and digital preprint and litho-laminated packaging. Lead the strategy development and execution for graphic packaging, partnering with marketing and commercial excellence. Manage the pipeline to ensure your team delivers insights into commercial activity and demand signals to Operations and Senior Leadership. Collaborate on key account plans to drive growth and margin enhancement at the customer level. Build and foster relationships at leadership levels within both internal and external customers. Position the Graphic Solutions team as trusted subject matter experts that are proactive and the partner of choice for our internal customers. Communicate the changing needs of customers to internal leadership to ensure Smurfit WestRock solutions align with customers’ needs and industry/market trends. Build and foster relationships with Smurfit Westrock cross-functional partners to deliver customer solutions, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement. Continuously engage in training to build capability, knowledge, and leadership skills. What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience leading and managing direct reports. Experience presenting and selling to senior management and key decision makers. At least 5 years of experience managing clients in a customer-facing business or in a business leadership role. Demonstrated ability to drive new business development. MS Office Software (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet-based pipeline management software experience. Strong strategic thinking and financial analysis skill sets with an ability to develop and execute strategies and financial plans. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills to build relationships, deliver engaging presentations, and convey complex data via accurate and concise reports. Proven track record of collaboration within cross-functional teams to achieve goals. Work experience in the packaging industry is preferred. Ability to travel required ~50%. What we offer:
