Assistant Executive Director/Sales & Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Assistant Executive Director assists in leading and directing the overall operation of the facility in accordance with resident needs, governmental regulations, and company policies, with the main objective of maintaining quality care for the residents and achieving business and financial goals for the facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Works with the Executive Director to plan, develop, and implement operational strategies. Provides administrative direction in the absence of the Executive Director. Is the acting Executive Director when the Executive Director is unavailable. Assists the Executive Director in monitoring resident/family/employee satisfaction through regular communication, consistent rounds throughout the Care Community, and the use of satisfaction surveys, response analyses and performance plans to continually improve services. Proactively identify concerns and deal with complaints timely and effectively. Serves as an integral part of the Leadership Team providing support and initiative for all programs and projects. Has full responsibility for departments as directed by the Executive Director. Represents administration in the implementation of the facility QA program. Responsible for the following components in the QA program, in conjunction with the appropriate Department Managers he/she oversees. Oversee the Caring Above & Beyond programs that are assigned by corporate. Responsible for certain areas of required education in the facility in conjunction with other Leadership Team members. Works with the Executive Director to coordinate any training required by Health Dimensions Group. Ensures that all elements of required education are provided. Works with the Executive Director and the Finance Director to develop required budgets and other financial reports. Provides support to Department Managers in the ongoing financial management of their departments. Monitor and overseeing new hire orientation and mentorship. Works with the Human Resources Manager and committees in supporting Compliance and Employee Safety initiatives and requirements. Provides support and assistance to the Human Resources Department to reach the facility census goals and to provide the required reporting. Assists the Executive Director to ensure audits and survey preps are completed timely. Assists the Executive Director to develop facility Policies and Procedures as needed. May perform other duties as assigned. Physical and Mental Requirements Requires normal hearing and sight on a continuous basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Performs work in a customary office and resident care environment where there is occasional exposure to biohazards and noise and rare exposure to toxic chemicals. Requires the ability to sit and walk on a frequent basis. Requires the ability to stand, climb stairs, twist, stoop/bend at the waist, and expose hands to water and irritants on an occasional basis. Requires the ability to kneel on a rare basis. Reaching at, or below shoulders on an occasional basis and manipulation of objects with one or both hands is required. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a licensed Skilled Nursing Facility or Senior Housing. High School Diploma. Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience. Experience in project planning, developing, and implementation. Experience collaborating with local health care partners. Experience and ability to drive successful financial results. Possess a strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care. Ability to provide supervision and direction to staff. Ability to take initiative with minimal supervision and work independently. Possess excellent team development and leadership skills. Computer proficiency. Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task. Excellent organizational skills. Strong time management skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Job Type:
