The Outbound Communications organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Product Manager - Tech. We are innovating and building technical solutions to delight Amazon customers with timely, relevant marketing messages (email, mobile, SMS, and other channels). These marketing messages drive awareness and discovery of Amazon’s products and services to engage our customers. In this role, you will join the Outbound team on Day-0 to be a part of a high-visibility senior leadership goal from near-inception stages. You will own the scientific roadmap for generating automated personalized email/push marketing messages using Gen-AI and advanced machine learning solutions, and software solutions to plan/schedule these messages in a timely fashion. You will identify key areas of scientific and analytical investments and form the vision for optimizing Amazon's marketing communications. You will own strategic documents to inform and influence the senior leadership team to invest in these high-visibility areas of strategic optimization investments in Outbound.

Key Job Responsibilities You will identify, review and drive development of key business and technical metrics that improve the health of Outbound as a business. As you grow in the role, you will own think-big strategic documents to inform and influence senior leaders to invest in these high-visibility areas of strategic investments in Outbound. You will partner closely with scientists and engineers to break down the areas of opportunities into modeling components, software systems, and other technical requirements to build, prioritize and manage a short/long-term science roadmap that optimizes our communications to customers. You will develop a deep understanding of the business and software solutions to simplify them through effective design discussions while serving the needs of customers. You will put appropriate audit mechanisms to track progress of science solution development across the lifecycle. You will work closely and communicate effectively with cross-functional roles across science, engineering, business, and finance. You will collaborate effectively with counterpart science product managers in central Amazon teams such as personalization and customer behavior analytics to align science software roadmaps. You will provide inputs to Outbound OP1/OP2 documents, own science updates in business review (BR) documents such as MBR/QBR, and craft responses for leadership escalations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline Experience working on science products or with science teams Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product Experience in technical product management Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
