The
Strategy, Digital and Innovation
(SDI) team forges the strategic direction of Wells Fargo, provides and manages our digital foundation and common capabilities, and transforms our business models to meet evolving customer needs and grow the company. The investments we are making will help the company create innovative digital banking experiences and make it easier for customers to achieve their financial goals.
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Operations lead to join the Digital Design Innovation (DDI) team to deliver transformative customer experiences for our global Commercial Bank & Corporate and Investment Bank (CB/CIB) clients.
They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of existing business and team operations and proactively identifying and implementing improvements to optimize team performance and productivity. They will work with our key partners in CI/CIB Digital, Third Party Compliance, Sourcing, Finance, Consumer Digital and other enterprise functions to enable DDI to manage risk, increase operational efficiencies and ensure cohesiveness across the digital landscape.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities include the following:
Oversee and manage core operational processes, including vendor management, budget, risk operations and other enterprise protocols DDI must adhere to.
Partner directly with business owners, product, technology, enterprise CX transformation, design focused journey leaders and design discipline leaders to identify areas to optimize.
Spearhead tool strategy: research and recommend new technologies, build business cases, and implement tools which address pain points and/or enable capacity growth.
Lead all optimization efforts in conjunction with our agile approach to delivery.
Bring peers, partners, and executives along in their understanding what change is needed with periodic updates on outcomes and incremental value.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience operating in an agile function with a defined understanding of business operations and how the function fits into an overarching organization. The individual can navigate effectively in a matrixed organization, develop partnerships with many stakeholders and lead through influence. They will have a proven track record of driving operational improvements and achieving measurable results. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in business operations
5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting.
Proficient in understanding and identifying opportunities for engagement model optimization throughout digital organization.
Comfortable with budgeting planning and review processes, including being point of contact.
Apt in routine legal review processes and skilled in documenting processes and providing routine updates to leadership team.
Experienced in providing toolkit optimizations whether be through providing increased efficiencies, easing team member pain points or advancing new skillsets.
Trained in vendor management consistent with onboarding, sunsetting, contractual obligations and ROI assessment.
Proven track record in Lean UX & Agile delivery environments
Honed analytical skills coupled with proven problem-solving capabilities
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to shape and drive work independently
Proactive problem solver with a bias toward execution and a strong sense of urgency: demonstrated track record of getting things done, while building bridges, despite the obstacles in their way
Proven and demonstrated leadership skills including relationship building, change leadership, partnering and collaboration skills with clear ability to influence, gain buy-in and negotiate with a diverse group of key business partners/leaders
Excellent communication & storytelling skills with experience presenting to senior management and ability to articulate key messages in a straightforward and understandable manner
Ability to energize and motivate others; thrives in teams; highly inclusive and collaborative with proven ability to lead through influence vs. authority
