Buchwald is hiring: Animation Assistant in New York

Buchwald is looking to hire a highly motivated Animation Floater Assistant in the NY office. The ideal candidate should have a true passion for and interest in the areas of animation, video games, scripted podcasts, and audiobooks. This is an entry-level position that requires initiative while learning on the job. Interest in becoming a talent agent is essential.

Candidates need to be organized, team players, proactive, ambitious, detail-oriented, computer-savvy, and have strong administrative skills. As this team works with many agents and assistants bicoastally, candidates must be quick learners and open communicators. The most successful assistants can multi-task, think on their feet, and have a naturally good ear and eye for talent.

Position Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Previous talent agency experience is helpful.
2. Interest in talent representation is a plus, especially in the specialized area of voiceover representation.
3. Knowledge of InEntertainment and Breakdown Express is a plus but not required.
4. Excellent written & communication skills.
5. Ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
6. Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team.
7. Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office Suite (including Teams and OneDrive), Zoom, and DocuSign.
8. Ability to comfortably interact with high-profile clients and to use a high level of discretion/confidentiality.
9. Nimble and flexible, in order to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
10. A self-starter with the ability to think proactively.
11. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
12. Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.

Additional Comments: You must presently reside in or be commutable to New York City, as this is currently an in-office position.

Salary: $19-20 per hour plus overtime.
