POSITION: A full-time, teaching assistant professor position is available in the Department of Business Communication and Information Systems with an emphasis in business communication for the 2024-2025 academic year beginning August 19, 2024. The official title is Teaching Assistant Professor with the working title of Teaching Assistant Professor. This is a one-year appointment with a salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.


QUALIFICATIONS: A master's degree is required from a regionally accredited institution in business communication, technical communication, organizational communication, professional communication, or related field. The following will be considered assets: evidence of successful teaching at the collegiate level; and demonstrated commitment to support and enhance the diversity and cultural and global awareness of students, faculty, and staff.


DUTIES: Teach courses in business communication based on program needs and specialization; participate in scholarly and professional development activities to maintain AACSB qualifications; provide academic advising to students as assigned; engage in service to the department, University, College, and profession.
