The Role
We’re looking for a talented Content Designer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for owning and evolving Clair’s voice, ensuring consistency with our brand identity, and collaborating across all departments to deliver cohesive and impactful messaging. As our Content Designer, you’ll play a vital role in shaping how Clair communicates with its audience, both within our product and throughout our marketing materials. You’ll work closely with design, marketing, product, compliance, and legal teams to deliver messaging that is both engaging and trustworthy.

What You’ll Do

As we are a small agile team, you will need to be comfortable switching between content design and copywriting where you will primarily work with both Design and Marketing teams, producing content for our app and external-facing marketing materials. Specifically:

  1. Develop Content Strategy: Create, implement, and maintain Clair’s voice across all platforms, ensuring alignment with our brand identity and design principles.
  2. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Product, Marketing, Design, and other teams to craft messaging that resonates with our audience and supports business goals.
  3. Own the Brand Voice: Maintain and evolve Clair’s tone, style, and voice to ensure consistency across all content, from web copy and product interfaces to marketing materials and internal communications.
  4. Content Creation: Design and produce high-quality content, including blog posts, website copy, user guides, email campaigns, and social media.
  5. User-Centered Design: Advocate for the user by creating content that’s clear, concise, and engaging, improving the overall user experience.
  6. Analyze & Improve: Monitor content performance and iterate based on data and user feedback to optimize engagement and effectiveness.

What We’re Looking For

  1. 3-5+ years in content design, UX writing, or a related role, preferably in a startup or tech environment.
  2. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an eye for design, marketing, and user experience.
  3. Proficiency in content management systems, Figma, and analytics platforms.
  4. A team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and can effectively communicate ideas.
  5. Experience working with compliance teams and crafting messaging that meets regulatory requirements (UDAAP, Reg Z, BSA/AML, etc.).
  6. Self-starter who can manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced startup setting.
  7. Nice to have: Experience in fintech and B2B content writing, and basic experience with SEO.

Additional Details

Location: This is a hybrid position based out of New York City, you will be expected to come into the office at least three days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays) with additional days on occasion for client meetings.

Compensation: The annual base salary for this role is $130,000-$142,000. The base pay for this role is determined using many factors, such as education, skills and experience and is reflective of Clair Series stage and size. Base pay is only one part of Clair’s competitive total compensation package which includes equity, benefits and additional perks. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
