Role: GIS Data Editor

Location: Fort Worth, TX or Topeka, KS

Duration: 12 Months + Extension

Work: 4 days onsite required / 1 day remote

This person can work out of the Fort Worth office OR the Topeka office

The Enterprise GIS Team is looking for a bright, fast-paced individual who can work in a production environment. The GIS Editor would be responsible for creating and labeling features in GIS based upon geo-located aerial imagery.

  1. The individual should have experience editing linear GIS data. Preferred experience with ESRI Network Datasets and Network Analysts tools.
  2. The individual would need to be savvy with various GIS formats, including raster imagery, and have the ability to pick up customized tools, and be able to communicate complex scenarios with great detail.

Responsibilities:

  1. Creation, QA/QC and analysis of GIS data.
  2. Use of ArcMap.
  3. Effective communication of data error remediation with GIS editors.
  4. Detailed notes and tracking of progress during publication process.
  5. Capacity to quickly and easily adjust to changing priorities.

Job Requirements:

  1. The ideal candidate would have an associate’s, bachelor's or master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geology, and/or Environmental sciences (with GIS emphasis).
  2. Professional Experience:
  3. Editing in GIS using ESRI GIS editing Tools such as ArcGIS Desktop.
  4. Knowledge of the Microsoft suite.
