Position Overview:
As a Graphic Designer at our company, you will take the helm of our creative team, focusing exclusively on crafting product-centric designs for our retail clients. Your expertise will not only be in creating visually compelling graphics but also in strategically managing design teams, leading company-wide design strategies, and developing our design playbook. Your role will involve innovating and overseeing the creation of high-impact emails and advertisements that resonate with retail audiences and drive sales. This position requires a unique blend of creativity, leadership, and a deep understanding of retail and product-focused digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of graphic designers, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Drive the strategy behind campaign conceptualization and the execution of graphics for various digital platforms, including social media and direct digital marketing channels.
- Develop and maintain our design playbook, ensuring consistency and quality in all creative outputs.
- Foster innovation and creativity within the design team to deliver designs that effectively communicate clients' brand messages and drive sales.
- Oversee the integration of graphics into digital strategies in collaboration with Account Managers and Digital Strategists.
- Utilize advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to produce high-impact graphics.
- Manage the creative project lifecycle, ensuring that all deliverables are completed within set timelines without compromising on quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar creative role, with a proven track record of managing design teams.
- Expertise in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Exceptional creativity, innovation, and flair for design with an understanding of current and emerging digital advertising trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaborative skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail and robust problem-solving skills.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Efficiency in design turnaround time with an emphasis on quality and speed.
- Reduction in revision rate for completed designs, aiming for minimal revisions.
- Low error rate in design deliverables.
- High level of client satisfaction as per quarterly feedback.
- Consistency in meeting weekly design targets (30+ designs).
- Contribution to the achievement of departmental goals and company objectives.
- Alignment with the company's core values in all design and leadership efforts.
- Optimal use of PTO days to ensure well-being without compromising team performance (target: 3-5 days per quarter).
