About the job:

The ideal candidate is a highly creative Graphic Designer with a great sense of style for a missy and young contemporary knitwear company. You will play a key role in developing innovative and trend graphics and prints for the ladies market. We are looking for a team player who will be able to work both independently and collaboratively. This role is based in NY offering a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Create graphics and prints for knitwear.
  • Prepare layouts or mock-ups of designs using illustration, text, photography, color, and computer-generated imagery.
  • Communicate with design and sales about color assortment and design direction.
  • Research seasonal graphic trends and apply to illustrations in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Prepare graphics for production including repeat recoloring and technique.
  • Revise any graphics as needed based on feedback from sales and design.
  • Review all technical sketches and original artworks prior to submission for final production.
  • Prepare artwork for production.
  • Execute vision on CAD presentations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic fashion design.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Prior experience in women’s apparel.
  • Strong sense of design and color.
  • Highly motivated, passionate about fashion, and has a commercial eye for detail.
  • Experience with licensed brands and interpreting brand style guides for product extensions.
  • Strong creativity, conceptualization, execution, organization, and design skills.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to problem solve.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to strategize and prioritize team workloads to ensure competing deliverables are met according to the seasonal calendar.
