POSITION SUMMARY:

The Digital Media Producer will create innovative, high-quality content as assigned, but chiefly for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and NTT INDYCAR SERIES and their related social media channels. The position requires a skill set able to shoot and edit content for both quick turn and long-term timelines using music, graphics, and effects optimized for social media output and consumption.

The position reports to the Vice President, Production and will contribute to the overall Indianapolis Motor Speedway and NTT INDYCAR SERIES digital strategy and content plans, working in partnership with other members of the Content Department.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Complete projects – shoots, edits, etc. as assigned and delivered against directed timelines. Most projects will be related to INDYCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway social outlets.
  • Build relationships with Content Department colleagues to learn, collaborate and ensure best in class execution of all video/digital content.
  • Work closely with colleagues in various internal PR, Marketing, and Social departments when completing projects they are involved in.
  • Register, tag, and archive all content captured in our digital/footage archive systems.
  • Execute additional video and graphics projects as assigned by department leadership.
  • Continue to advance skill sets and utilize evolving programs, tools, and other sources to improve abilities across editing and videography platforms.
  • Travel as needed for various projects, including most of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES races and other off-site shoots, appearances and events as defined by department leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education

Degree in Media Production or equivalent experience

Skills/Experience

  • 2 years’ minimum experience in sports related video production.
  • Advanced knowledge in AVID (or similar) edit systems.
  • Advanced understanding of various camera systems and shooting.
  • Advanced knowledge in graphics (motion & still) and the Adobe Suite.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, multi-tasking, ability to manage change and balance evolving priorities.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment and on short deadlines.
  • Committed to producing high-quality content.

Travel/Work Hour/Flexibility

  • General office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
  • This job requires travel to NTT INDYCAR SERIES and working Indianapolis Motor Speedway events. When not traveling, there may be weekend and holiday work when race events are held.
  • Longer hours and weekends required for the Month of May and other major racing events.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
  • May require long periods of time on feet, walking long distances at racetracks, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This role requires the candidate to work in both an office setting, but also outdoors at race events and other functions.
