Salary: $50.06 - $60.86 Hourly

Hiring Bonus: $25,000!

*New Official Court Reporters are eligible for a $25,000 hiring bonus. If the newly hired reporter has previously worked for the Court, there must be a break in service of at least one year from the separation date to the rehire date to qualify for the bonus.

This is a Court wide recruitment. Court reporters may be eligible for Real Time Differential pay as detailed in the Memorandum of Understanding between the Court and United Public Employees (UPE). Non-certified Real Time Court Reporters who provide Real Time services to the Court will receive a 5% pay differential for each pay period in which Real Time services are provided. Court Reporters who hold a current National Court Reporters Association’s Certified Real Time Reporter (CRR) certification in good standing shall receive a 10% pay differential for providing Real Time services.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Must be certified by the State of California as a Certified Shorthand Reporter.
  2. Must be able to pass a criminal history background check.
