The Visual Annotation Services team is responsible for providing high-quality human-annotated fashion data and services to help our customers launch new products and features while supporting them throughout the entire lifecycle (pre-launch, beta, and post-launch). VAS works closely with our Amazon internal customers within the Fashion and Fitness organization, such as the Fit team, the Virtual Try-on (VTO) team, the Discovery team, and teams beyond the Fashion and Fitness organization who need high-quality data. VAS’s goal is to provide an end-to-end solution to our customers, including tooling development, dashboards, and access to our datasets.


The Production Coordinator works directly with internal customers and the VAS team to drive projects to completion. Production Coordinators are experts on their business-related initiatives, and as part of their scope, own all stages of project management including planning, execution, and project delivery.


Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients and act as the main point of contact for specific projects.
  2. Create a strategic plan for the client’s annotation projects and requirements.
  3. Work with multiple internal teams (data, product, R&D, engineering, and science) to align on client's goals, requirements, headcount, and deadlines.
  4. Own and lead various machine learning algorithm projects, some prior examples include outfit recommendations on Detail Page, “Alexa, What Should I Wear?”.
  5. Meet customers’ expectations by diving deep into their KPIs, analyzing performance data, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
  6. Report progress, learnings, and goals to the operations team in order to drive process improvements.

About the Team

Planning encompasses research, allocation, data analytics, and projections, such as:

  1. Meeting with stakeholders to clarify project scope including requirements, quality needs, and guidelines.
  2. Communicating effectively/efficiently with client stakeholders.
  3. Influencing process improvements, such as tooling requirements & UI design.
  4. Calculating HC based on data needs communicated from stakeholders and establishing metric goals by testing the UI/tool.
  5. Creating project documents, such as SOPs, guidelines, trainings, metric trackers, etc.
  6. Forecasting project timeline and projected completion dates based on data needs.
  7. Collecting post-project feedback to contribute to tool improvements.

Execution encompasses defining KPIs, reporting, allocation, meetings, agility (workflow + goals), and mechanisms, such as:

  1. Providing project updates to Fashion Specialists, VAS leadership, and client stakeholders.
  2. Tracking project progress by monitoring metrics & quality, and providing reports to stakeholders.
  3. Managing/maintaining project documents (SOPs, guidelines, trainings, trackers, etc.).
  4. Creating and hosting trainings/meetings.
  5. Scheduling meetings with stakeholders, leading discussion groups, and following up on all action items.
  6. Utilizing the SIM Sprint board to track project progress and update stakeholders.

Delivery encompasses risks, return, impact, and reporting, such as:

  1. Reporting on project status to stakeholders, communicating potential risks to project deliverables when applicable.
  2. Identifying & escalating project blockers in a timely manner including tool bugs, delay in data, DpA changes, etc.
  3. Hosting meetings to increase blocker visibility & determine next steps.
  4. Participating in quality discussions & adjustment processes.
  5. Reporting quantitative metrics including average DpA, annotation totals, etc.
  6. Providing project recaps with key KPIs once projects are complete.
  7. Leading quarterly ROI discussions with stakeholder teams to determine how they measure success.
  8. Surveying FS to gather upward feedback and determine areas for tool/training improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Graduation from the Fashion domain or any graduation with 3+ years related experience.
  2. Excellent MS Excel skills.
  3. Passion for project management and customer service.
  4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  5. Ability to engage and build partnerships.
  6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  7. Strong analytical capabilities.
  8. Passion to learn and understand new technologies and complex platforms.
  9. Ability to multitask and handle various tasks and priorities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Previous program management experience.
  2. Proven record of delivering on high-level tasks (POC role, project management role, etc.).
  3. Previous management and/or leadership experience.
