We are seeking a Medical Director to oversee the clinical operations of our home health care services, providing guidance and supervision to our team of Nurse Practitioners. This is a contractor position with flexible hours, focused on compliance and quality assurance rather than direct patient care.
Position Overview
The Medical Director will serve as a contractor responsible for supervising Nurse Practitioners and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of medical orders for home health care. This position involves clinical oversight, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with the team, without direct patient care responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision: Oversee and support Nurse Practitioners to ensure clinical excellence and adherence to protocols.
- Home Health Orders: Review and sign home health orders and care plans in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and state regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the administrative team to maintain quality and operational efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on home health care regulations and ensure adherence across all clinical operations.
- Documentation Review: Conduct regular reviews of patient documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Requirements: Qualifications
- Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted medical license in Nevada.
- Experience: Prior experience supervising Nurse Practitioners or similar advanced practice providers.
- Knowledge of home health care practices and regulations is preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with a focus on compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Certifications: Board certification in Medicine Doctor or DO preferred.
