Sr Communications Rep

Salary Grade: G06 Minimum Midpoint Maximum $78,537 - $106,024 - $133,511

SUMMARY:

Under limited supervision, participates in the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies for PNM Resources and its subsidiaries. Promotes creative, highly organized, and proactive internal and external communications strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and executes communications strategies to convey PNM Resources and subsidiaries visions, objectives, and strategies while working with the communications team

Leads and supports continuous improvement of communications processes and their effectiveness

Delivers addressed company issues to employees, clarifies strategic issues, and explains these issues to external audiences, including media

Researches, writes, and edits articles, speeches, news releases, and other communication documents for presentation to key internal and external stakeholders

Develops content to support communications efforts in collaboration with web site manager; may also manage video and web cast projects

Creates communications plans and materials and participates in the execution of various communications projects

Continually identifies, strengthens, and expands collaborative relations with critical stakeholders

Develops strategies to enhance external recognition for positive corporate initiatives

Identifies potential company issues, and develops and implements proactive communication strategies

Develops and delivers issues, management recommendations, strategies, and plans with interdisciplinary teams

Provides communications consultancy to support functions and business units

Identifies new practice vehicles to help drive culture change and engages with company leadership and workforce

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor¿s degree in journalism, communications, English or related field with five to six years of experience in financial, corporate, or business communications and media relations, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline. Experience in project management and video production is preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Project management certification is preferred.

Video production skills preferred

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company information and general business periodicals

SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, develops and executes a variety of communication tactics, for both internal and external audiences, in support of the company¿s strategies and high-level objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans, researches, interviews, writes, edits, and proofreads communication vehicles and collaborates with others to gain approvals and to communicate the company¿s direction and programs

Assists in the preparation of communication events such as web casts, press conferences, video presentations, and State of the Company presentations

Develops talking points, promotes events, and technically troubleshoots prior to the events

Serves as one of the communications liaisons to other departments or organizations

Works with other departments and some external organizations to execute initiatives on a variety of corporate programs or activities

Identifies new practice vehicles to help drive culture change and engages with company leadership and workforce

COMPETENCIES:

SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, produces various company print and electronic publications. Supports, implements, and coordinates both external and internal communication initiatives to increase the understanding and support of the company¿s business strategies and goals. Provides support to PNM Resources and its subsidiaries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages writing, videotaping, editing, reproduction, and dissemination of various printed and/or electronic tactics, including those intended for employees as well as external audiences

Conceptualizes, researches, develops, writes, edits, and/or revises various tactics as needed

Creates, schedules, tracks, and produces communication vehicles and coordinates with others when needed

Develops and executes communications plans to ensure strategic information and direction is incorporated into communication initiatives

Regularly evaluates and report achievement of communication objectives.

Prepares communication events such as web casts, press conferences, video presentations and State of the Company presentations
