Internationally recognized architecture firm in New York City is looking for an Intermediate Interior Designer or Interior Architect, with 3-6+ years of professional experience in luxury hospitality design to join their team.
The intermediate designer, while working with junior designers and under the supervision of a senior designer or project manager, provides design support and is actively involved in all phases of design including programming, concept design, space planning, FF&E selection, and procurement.
Qualifications: • degree in interior design or interior architecture • minimum 3-6+ years of relevant professional experience • strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with others • luxury hospitality interior design experience preferred
Job responsibilities: • space planning and conceptual design skills • development of layouts for typical rooms/space types • development of material palettes • graphic and material presentations for in-house and client meetings • construction documentation and coordination • programming with user groups for FF&E • furniture budgets and specifications, bid packages • knowledge of furniture systems and materials • must be able to work on multiple projects at one time
